Step 2: Try your first AI assistant
Pick one. They all have free versions:

- Microsoft Copilot, built into Windows and Office
Step 3: Explore what else AI can do
- Research: Perplexity, NotebookLM
- Images and design: Canva, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly
- Voice, music, and video: ElevenLabs, Suno, Runway
- Everyday helpers: Grammarly, DeepL, Google Lens, Otter.ai

Three golden rules
- Double-check important facts. AI can be confidently wrong.
- Never share passwords, bank details, or ID numbers with an AI.
- Be skeptical of urgent calls and shocking videos. AI can fake voices and faces.
